"anxiety" by Pranavaa

She walked on land that burnt her body;
Swam oceans too mighty to handle;
Held the reins tight from getting loose -
Afraid of unleashing her demons.

It felt like a big black hole,
And she just kept falling in,
With no one there to pull her out.

She found comfort
In the tensed shoulders,
In picking her skin and
Chewing her nails 'til it bleeds.

Oh when will that girl ever learn
To let go of her fears?
To catch herself from falling
And pull herself out?

But then,
Her head burst into a thousand butterflies,
Her veins grew out into a hundred sunflowers

Darling, release your inner monsters.
Let go of your biggest fears.
And you will come to find
Something more beautiful than
All your flaws.

You will find home.
