 Why does everything look a little more beautiful in dim light?

The words in my journal from a tiring day,

The smile on your face from the joy of seeing a loved one,

The slow scenery outside the window when your desk's filled with papers,

Heck, even your laughs come out more beautiful. 

Perhaps it is the lack of light that hides all the flaws;

The bad handwriting, the creases, the food spills, 

The mild acne, the stretch marks, the scars, 

The dried leaves, the rotten fruits, the little insects, 

The internal fears, demons, anxieties. 

But

No matter how much the light doesn't show -

In this moment, this is enough.
